Area of Concern

The Saginaw Bay is the only Federal Area Of Concern on the US side of Lake Huron. This is also Michigan’s largest watershed. Dow Chemical has contributed significantly to the degradation of the watershed jeopardizing the economic viability of the surrounding communities and the Great Lakes.

So, what would Dow do with substandard product or a goofed up batch of some pesticide/whatever? Would they put it in a ‘safe place’ to protect the ‘human elements’ living down the river? Heck no. The river was right there. Just dump that stuff right in. EM- Dumping dioxin
