The Environment Report producing series on Dow’s Dioxin…

The Environment Report from the University of Michigan is doing a week-long series of reports on the contamination of the Midland/Saginaw/Bay City area by Dow Chemical.

The Environment Report from Wednesday November 11th talks to Mitch Larson about the dioxin contamination in his yard and the dioxin laced eggs and fish his family unwittingly consumed and the fear it has caused in his family for his daughters futures. (MP3)

The Environment Report from Thursday November 12th talks about the warnings and interviews some hunters about the contamination and the warnings. It should be noted that Dow has PR officials that are members and/or meet with these groups to allay their fears about the contamination and the toxicity of their contamination. (MP3)

The Environment Report from Friday November 13th talks about a recent decision to provide assistance to veterans that were exposed to Agent Orange of which Dow Chemical was one of the contractor manufacturers. After decades of denials the reason for the reversal has to have people wondering. Also discussed is the infamous U of M ‘Garabrandt Study’ that paints a very cloudy picture of the vector for people becoming contaminated.
